The Secretariat is based in
Lisbon, Portugal
and comprises a staff of five:

The Secretariat is responsible for collecting, compiling and publishing statistics
and other information on nickel, undertaking economic and statistical analysis,
organizing meetings and their necessary documentation, maintaining regular contacts
with member countries and their nickel industries, and promoting additional membership,
according to the work programme approved by the General Session.
